PHOENIX is a unique range of materials, made exclusively from leather powder.
Combining innovation and heritage, the PHOENIX material offers a unique design approach : revisiting an iconic material to reinvent it.

Compacted, the leather powder turns into a rigid material, with a texture radically different from the original. As ornamental material, it borrows the aesthetic codes of noble materials while being part of the tradition of artisanal know-how, mobilizing the gestures and tools of the artistic crafts.

The PHOENIX thus opens up unprecedented creative potential, offering designers and artisans the possibility of designing unique or series pieces, in a spirit of experimentation and exploration.

 

Magic happens

The leather powder, once placed in a mold, is subjected to heat and pressure in our heat press. Under established conditions, the particles bond together, transforming the soft powder into a dense (1.3-1.45), rigid, stable material ready to use.

Depending on the chosen process:

• Custom molding : creating a mold to obtain a part in the desired shape, ready for finishing.
• Machining : manufacturing the part from blocks of material.

It is this combination of heat, pressure and precision that gives rise to the unique texture and exceptional properties of the PHOENIX material.
